Congratulations to KBR Partner Betsy Baydala on securing a defense verdict in a medical malpractice trial in Supreme Court, Nassau County.
Plaintiff alleged that the defendant orthopedic surgeon failed to appropriately treat her prosthetic knee infection causing her to undergo an above-the-knee amputation. Betsy successfully argued that the surgeon’s treatment met the applicable standards of care and the jury returned a defense verdict.
