KBR senior litigation counsel Alyssa Schiffhauer obtained summary judgment warranting full dismissal of plaintiff’s complaint in a long-term care matter in Nassau County.

The case centered on a then 90 year-old resident’s fall which was alleged to have caused a broken wrist and hip, requiring surgical intervention. On Thursday, May 9th, KBR partner Jonathan Rubin presented at the 2024 PLUS Healthcare & Medical Symposium in a session titled “Claims Handling and Reserving in the Current MPL Environment”. 

The session covered topics such as emerging trends and issues in medical professional liability (MPL), best practices for claims handling and appropriate case reserving.
