Belinda is a partner with extensive experience representing physicians, dentists, podiatrists, medical groups, hospitals, nursing homes, and home healthcare agencies as well as varied professional and allied health professionals. Her practice areas include Medical Malpractice, Professional Liability, Long Term Care, and Nursing Home Defense, Health Care, Products Liability Defense and General Liability Defense Litigation. She has successfully represented clients in all aspects of litigation from claim inception through trial and appeal including securing defense verdicts are trial and obtaining positive outcomes for clients through mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Belinda also advises hospitals, nursing homes, physicians and other allied medical professionals on new developments in healthcare law and effective risk management strategies. Belinda has represented clients before The New York State Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct and the New York State Department of Education, Office of Professional Discipline and various dental societies.

Belinda has been at the forefront of Cannabis law since prior to adult-use legalization in New York State and was the Chair of the Cannabis Law Section of the Brooklyn Bar Association. She is published and has been engaged to present before local and national conferences, insurance carriers and healthcare entities on various topics including COVID-related immunity, Opioid related Risk management, Risk Management for Dentist, Lawyers’ Ethical Representation of Cannabis clients, and Dental Liability. Belinda has presented at national conferences on risk management-related topics including at ASHRM, the Greater New York Dental Meeting and DRI. Before becoming an attorney, Belinda spent several years employed in the public sector with the United States Coast Guard and the New York City Health Department. While in law school she completed an internship in Health Law in the Litigation Bureau of the New York Attorney General’s Office. Prior to entering private practice, Belinda served as an in-house litigation attorney for a major insurance carrier.
