On January 23, 2024, a Staten Island jury delivered a unanimous verdict in favor of KBR’s client, a neurosurgeon, after an intense 2-day deliberation. In this wrongful death case, KBR’s client acted as his own expert, along with a second treating neurosurgeon and pediatric neurologist to counter allegations of medical malpractice and present compelling evidence that the death was not attributable to a shunt malfunction and instead, may have been related to seizure activity.
