Plaintiff alleged our client, a pain medicine physician, failed to timely diagnose CRPS. Prior to seeing our client, plaintiff experienced an atypical recovery following a ligament repair surgery. As a result, plaintiff was referred to our client for a CRPS evaluation and was advised to continue with physical therapy and follow-up. Based on plaintiffs presentation at the time, they did not meet the criteria for a CRPS. Ultimately, the plaintiff declined the recommended treatment and returned to her surgeon for a scar revision.
Ed successfully maintained that plaintiff developed CRPS following plaintiff’s second surgery.
