Congratulations to KBR partner Michelle Benedetto on securing summary judgment in a slip and fall matter in Supreme Court, Bronx County!
This matter concerned a slip and fall due to snow and ice in front of Defendant’s building. In dismissing the Plaintiff’s complaint, the Court agreed with Michelle’s argument that Defendant did not have a duty to clear snow and ice in the area where the Plaintiff allegedly fell as it was not a designated walkway.
KBR attorney Lindsey Nourse secured summary judgment on a Medical Malpractice matter.
The claims focused on pressure ulcers that Plaintiff developed after sustaining a severe spinal cord injury from several gunshot wounds. The Court was persuaded by KBR’s motion that the standard of care was met and there was no proximate cause for Plaintiff’s alleged injuries.
