Lisa returned to public service as an Assistant Attorney General during the Spitzer administration and remained in that office through the James administration. She defended NYS law enforcement agencies and employees in civil actions at the trial level. As a member of the Appeals & Opinions division, she handled direct appeals from Attorney General-obtained convictions and federal habeas corpus matters and appeals.
