Kalani is an associate in the firm’s Medical Malpractice and Skilled Nursing and Aging Services groups. She represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare entities in a variety of complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining KBR, Kalani began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals Bureau with the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained courtroom and appellate experience arguing before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division and Appellate Term First Judicial Department.
During law school, Kalani was a Freddie Mac Fellow with the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and was a Senior Editor of the UDC Law Review. In addition, she served as a legal intern for the Honorable Amit P. Mehta, District Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
