Philip is a partner in the firm’s Medical Malpractice group. He focuses his practice on the defense of professional liability claims against healthcare professionals in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey. He has defended healthcare professionals, as well as healthcare facilities involved in medical malpractice and long term care matters. In addition, Philip engages in matters involving complex litigation issues and has litigated commercial as well as employment matters. Philip has successfully taken cases from inception through verdict.
In addition, Philip has lectured extensively throughout the country on topics concerning the defense and litigation of complex medical malpractice claims. He has lectured on topics such as radiology diagnostic errors; catastrophic events in the Emergency Room; the Loss of Chance Doctrine; and many others.
Philip has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch 2022-2024 editions for Medical Malpractice Law and has also has been named one of the top rated Medical Malpractice attorneys by Super Lawyers magazine. He has been selected to the New York Metropolitan Rising Stars list for the year 2022-2023.
