Jeffrey S.
Whittington, is a Partner in our Los Angeles, California
office. Jeff practices in the areas of Insurance Coverage &
Litigation, and actively handles EPL, D&O, Lawyers Professional
Liability, and other Miscellaneous Professional Liability
Coverage and Defense matters. Jeff has represented his clients
in all phases of litigation from the initial claim through trial
and appeal. Jeff represents insurers in all aspects of insurance
coverage matters, including advising insurers regarding
liabilities faced by insureds and underwriting considerations
relevant to insuring those liabilities, and
monitoring/supervising local defense counsel in California and
throughout the country.
Additionally,
Jeff has extensive experience in the Medical Malpractice Defense
arena defending physicians, therapists, hospitals, nursing homes
and other health care providers in a wide variety of
high-exposure medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.
Jeff has been a guest speaker for the New York State Medical
Defense Bar Association on issues involving HIPAA compliance.
Jeff's practice also includes the representation of corporate
clients and property owners involved in general, product and
premises liability litigation.
Jeff is a
graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and
St. John’s University School of Law where he graduated as a
member of the Dean’s List and the Executive Board of the Moot
Court Honor Society. Jeff is admitted to practice law in
California and New York, as well as in the Southern District of
New York, and the District Courts of California. He is an active
participant with PLUS and DRI. |
