Ruth is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare entities in medical malpractice litigation. Prior to joining KBR, Ruth worked as a Legal Compliance Specialist for a Manhattan-based ambulatory surgery center management firm where she gained exposure to issues pertaining to risk management, malpractice insurance and litigation, stark law, HIPAA, and other regulatory considerations  for New York based outpatient facilities.  

 

Ruth is an Irish citizen and received her primary law degree from University College Cork in Ireland, graduating with honors in 2013. While there, Ruth was an active committee member of the student Law Society, a top ranked student in Moot Court and spent a year abroad studying in Brooklyn Law School.

 

Ruth received her LLM from Brooklyn Law School in 2014. In addition to serving as a teaching assistant in the school’s ESL course for foreign trained lawyers, she also participated in the Courtroom Advocates Project providing pro bono assistance to victims of domestic violence.
