Beth is a Senior Attorney at the Firm, representing health care providers, hospitals and business owners in connection with a wide range of business transactions. A member of the Healthcare Law Group, Beth has extensive experience representing healthcare providers and others in the healthcare industry in connection with mergers, acquisitions, formation of single-specialty and multispecialty groups, joint ventures, management arrangements, technology licensing agreements, shareholders' agreements and partnership agreements, practice disputes, and employment matters, in connection with regulatory compliance issues (e.g., state and federal fraud and abuse, anti-kickback and self-referral laws), and in structuring hospital and physician alignment models. Beth has represented businesses in many other industries, facilitating matters such as acquisitions, licensing, business formation, joint ventures and resolution of partnership disputes.

 

In addition to her more than twenty years of experience as an attorney, consultant and not-for-profit executive and in-house counsel, Beth has acted as outside counsel to numerous businesses and non-profits, successfully forming and advising private foundations and publicly-supported organizations. She has assisted entrepreneurs in their start-up endeavors and family-owned companies with succession planning.

 

Beth has extensive experience as a negotiation consultant, having worked with Conflict Management, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and having been an adjunct professor of Negotiation at Georgetown University Law Center and a guest lecturer at many colleges and universities.  She has conducted numerous continuing education programs for attorneys and for law firm clients.

While attending Harvard Law School, Beth was Articles Editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation.

 

Beth was a founding member of the Board of Directors of Jeremy's Heroes, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, created to enable youth to access athletic programs, and is now on its advisory board. She provides volunteer assistance to Buckley Country Day School, in Roslyn, New York, and she is a member of Board of Directors and is Treasurer of the South Strathmore Civic Association, in Manhasset, New York.  In the past, Beth has provided volunteer assistance to the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island.
