Julie A. Keegan, born in Yonkers, New York, is
an Associate specializing in the fields of medical malpractice
and nursing home negligence. Ms. Keegan also serves as coverage
and monitoring counsel on a national level for insurers of
long-term care facilities.
Ms. Keegan is a 1994 cum laude
graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and a
1997 graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where she was
a member of the ATLA National Trial Advocacy team. Ms. Keegan
has extensive and litigation experience from case inception
through trial. She has represented varied clients, including
defendants in malpractice actions; nursing homes with respect to
negligence and Public Health Law claims, defendants in
construction site accident litigation and premises liability
cases; and sporting venues and leagues in sports liability
litigation.
Ms. Keegan also has expertise
in appellate practice, and has successfully argued before the
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, State of New York and
the New York State Court of Appeals. She is a member of the
Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the Food and Drug Law
Institute (FDLI). She is a member of the Bar of the State of New
York, and is admitted to practice in the United States District
Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
