Robert E. Fekete, born in Newark, Ohio, is an associate with the firm specializing in employment law litigation and counseling, directors and officers liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage litigation.

Prior to joining Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP, Mr. Fekete worked in the labor & employment group of a Long Island firm where he advised both private and public employers and represented them before the Courts and Administrative Agencies such as the New York Public Employment Relations Board, New York Employment Relations Board and the New York State Division of Human Rights. Mr. Fekete also has experience handling appellate litigation before state and federal courts.

Mr. Fekete is a graduate of Chaminade University and Hofstra University School of Law, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Labor & Employment Relations Association, and the Federalist Society.

While attending Hofstra Law School, Mr. Fekete was a summer intern with the Washington D.C. headquarters of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and an extern with the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Investor Protection & Securities Bureau. Mr. Fekete is also a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in Naval Intelligence.

Mr. Fekete is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York.
