Wayne E. Borgeest, born in Ogdensburg, New York, is a founding partner of the
Firm. He has been practicing insurance law and professional
liability defense in New York since 1982.
Mr. Borgeest‘s practice emphasis is in the areas of Directors &
Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, ERISA
Liability and Insurance matters. He is nationally recognized in
these fields and a frequent lecturer for legal and insurance
industry organizations such as The New York State Bar
Association, The American Bar Association, The New York State
Trial Lawyers Association, The Practicing Law Institute, The
Association of the Bar of the City of New York, The American
Conference Institute, The Risk and Insurance Management Society,
EuroForum and The Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
Mr. Borgeest has worked extensively in representing insurers and
underwriters in the drafting of insurance policies, counseling
insurers on underwriting and claim issues, in acting as coverage
and monitoring counsel in the most complex litigations
nationally, and in the representation of directors and officers.
