Jonathan D. Rubin born in Brooklyn, NY, is a partner with
the firm, specializing in the field of Medical Malpractice,
professional liability, general and products liability defense
litigation. In addition, he has represented physicians and other
medical professionals in disciplinary actions before the
Licensing Boards of the New York State Departments of Health and
Education.
Mr. Rubin is a cum laude graduate of Vassar College. He is also
a graduate of the George Washington University Law School where
he was vice president of the Moot Court Board.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rubin served as an
Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s
office, prosecuting a wide range of felony cases from inception
through trial, including work on long term narcotics
investigations involving state and federal law enforcement. At
the District Attorney’s office, he tried more than a dozen
criminal cases to verdict. Upon leaving the District Attorney’s
office, he became an associate with the firm of Wilson, Elser,
Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, specializing in the defense of
medical malpractice actions. He is the author of numerous
articles, including “Confidentiality Issues in Treatment of
Couples in Marital Therapy,” Medical Malpractice Law and
Strategy, Vol. 18, Number 1, 2000; and “The Matrimonial
Strategist,” Vol. 13, Number 11, 2000. He is a frequent lecturer
on risk management and confidentiality issues in the area of
medical and psychological malpractice.
