Edward R. Noriega, born in Port Hueneme, California, is an associate attorney specializing in insurance coverage matters, particularly in the area of employment. Mr. Noriega represents insurers in all aspects of coverage matters as well as coverage litigation, relative to the areas of employment and civil rights liability, including liabilities faced by insureds, underwriting considerations relevant to insuring those liabilities, and monitoring/supervising defense counsel in California.
Mr. Noriega is a graduate of California State University at Northridge and a graduate of Loyola Law School.
While at Loyola Law School, Mr. Noriega served as a judicial clerk to: The Hon. A. Wallace Tashima of the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; The Hon. Nora M. Manella of the United States District Court for the Central District of California; and Administrative Judge Diane A. Gross of the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Noriega also served as Chief Justice of Loyola’s Scott Moot Court Honors Board.
Prior to joining Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan, Mr. Noriega practiced in the area of insurance defense and defense of bad faith actions, as well as coverage and coverage-related litigation involving commercial general liability policies.
