Congratulations to Jeffrey C. Gerson and Patrick A. Dolan for obtaining summary judgment in a medical malpractice case in Suffolk County Supreme Court. Plaintiff alleged that the insured performed a total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (TAH-BSO) without her consent and that she was not referred to an infertility specialist or mental health professional prior to the surgery.
